When the cat's away...

This weekend Melissa is down in California visiting her family. Everybody is getting very excited about the baby! Luc took advantage of these few days of solitude to do some projects around the house, especially the smelly ones.

The best project was to paint the baby's room! Yep, finally admitted that the "office" upstairs won't be an office... We picked colors last week - the orange turned out a little more subtle than we thought, but the purple is very nice. It's going to be a cute room... hopefully soothing for both the baby and the parents.



Other house projects included refinishing the counter top in our bathroom, and replacing a light fixture in the downstairs hallway. Crazy how much time a simple task can take when you have to fight plaster and chisel weird wood pieces. Love this house - you never know what you'll find in the walls (or ceiling).


The house looks pretty good!
