Growing news!!!

The last year, our first in Seattle, has been a wonderful one. One would think that it would be hard to top off a wedding, house, new town, mountain excursions, and all that. Well, we certainly found a way! We're expecting a baby this summer!!! Melissa is now 24 weeks pregnant - time flies. Everything is going very well, despite the bumps of pregnancy.

The baby is more and more active everyday. Feeling her (it's a girl!) move is wonderful.

A couple of weeks ago we went for an ultrasound. They checked all the organs, limbs, heart (amazing to see the 4 chambers and everything already working). It was very impressive to see how active and interactive she already is.

Here are a few pictures from the ultrasound. Most of them are a little strange, but some of you (grandparents!) might enjoy looking at them.

First one is a profile, and the next one is the nifty 3-D image they do. That's a very neat software... Luc is still trying to figure out exactly how they do it.

For geeks, you can check out that little clip. It starts with the profile view, then they pick the domain for the 3-D image, and the little face appears... Her left hand is touching her left cheek in the video. The dark spot on the right hand side of her face is the out of focus umbilical cord. It takes a little bit to figure out what is what, but when you do, it's amazingly adorable.

We're definitely very excited.

Wow, Wow! So exciting! Congratulations to both of you. What an amazing time, and you certainly have had a year full of milestones. Can't wait to see photos of the little one. Sending you best wishes for a worry-free pregnancy and happy, healthy baby!

Congrats Melissa and Luc!!!! It is so cliche but it really will change your life! Melissa, I hope you have been feeling well! Enjoy this time in your pregnancy...it is the best! People can recognize that you are pregnant so you don't just feel fat, and the baby isn't big enough yet to cause you much discomfort! Take care and if I can help in any way just let me know! We will have lots of girl hand-me-downs if you need any! Rachael

Yay!!! Congrats. It's a wonderful ride (that you can never step off :) Hope you both are doing well, Melissa in particular. Heather has had an easier pregnancy this time, but it's still not exactly _easy_.
(Luc, I hope you're used to not being asked about - it continues).
